David DeVallance, PhD, Supervisor

Dr. DeVallance is the Renewable Materials Composites Group Leader at the InnoRenew Centre of Excellence. He is also the Vice Rector for Internationalization at the University of Primorska in Koper, Slovenia. Dr. DeVallance earned his PhD and MS degrees at Oregon State University and a BS degree from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to moving to Slovenia, Dr. DeVallance was an Associate Professor at West Virginia University. His research focus areas include carbonization of biomass for advanced composites; nondestructive testing and evaluation, manufacturing, and processing of renewable materials; and development of bio-based composite materials.
